Church Ranch Event Center: Colorado Wedding

Dana and Jason were married in September at Church Ranch Event Center in Westminster, Colorado. This Colorado wedding was full of close friends & family, laughter, and loads of dancing.

The two incorporated things that were important to them to make their day unique. Before the wedding ceremony, two of Jason’s relatives sang a traditional wedding song with no words before family and wedding party walked down the aisle. They also made sure to include their adorable rescue pup, Mango, in the ceremony with a walk down the aisle.

Some of my favorite details from the wedding were Dana’s sparkly Kate Spade Keds that she wore in lieu of uncomfortable heels, the beautiful emerald band that fit right next to her diamond engagement ring (I love emeralds), and the unique cigar boxes that Jason had for each of his groomsmen. I am a sucker for those little details that make each wedding special and unique.

Another unique element of their wedding was the ability to dance, play lawn games, socialize indoors or outdoors or sit by one of their fire pits during the wedding reception. As a Colorado wedding photographer, I have seen a lot of receptions, but I rarely see a venue set up to accommodate guests in areas other than the dance floor. While I am a huge dancer (especially at weddings), I understand that not everyone feels the same way that I do, so I’m sure that having corn hole to play, fire pits to warm up next to and lots of areas to sit and talk was very appreciated.
