Fall in Colorado is incredible. As the temperature starts to decrease and the colors start to change, we enter into my favorite time of year. Each fall as a photographer, I get multiple inquiries about fall engagement photos. I am not the only one who loves the yellow aspens and orange leaves on the ground!
Morgan & Scott reached out to me about heading up to Boreas Pass near Breckenridge to get some cute engagement photos with an autumn backdrop. Not only were their two outfits perfectly coordinated, but they definitely listened when I suggested bringing along champagne. Two champagne bottles meant two opportunities for champagne pops which resulted in lots of champagne rain and laughter.
We traveled all over from bridges, to the sides of streets, to the middle of streets, to little alcoves with aspens and an expansive stream. I always try to get as much variety as I can, and Breckenridge proved to be an exceptional spot for these fall engagement photos!
Morgan & Scott were so fun to work with. Not only were they extremely cute together, but they had such a great energy and were willing to try anything I threw at them. They made my job extremely easy! I have photographed many engagement sessions as a Colorado engagement photographer, but I think from here on out I am going to advise all couples to bring champagne along to their engagement sessions. Champagne pops are my new fav!
If you are looking to take fall engagement photos, I would highly encourage you to pick up a fall foliage map to see peak times for color. Also be aware that these are busy times for mountain towns, so try to shoot earlier or later to avoid crowds.
Fall is an amazing time in Colorado whether you are going to take engagement photos or just enjoy the scenery. Don’t forget to take lots of photos! It doesn’t last for very long!
What a cute session! It looks like they had a great time.
