Ice Cream Shop Engagement Photos – Sweet Cooie’s Denver

I hope everyone is in the mood for some sweets, because these ice cream shop engagement photos from Sweet Cooie’s Denver are going to make you want a triple scooped cone!

Partnered with Rocky Mountain Bride, this amazing styled engagement shoot was unlike anything I had ever shot before. Instead of a modern wedding venue or a mountain scene, I got to work inside of an amazing retro-themed ice cream parlor in downtown Denver.

When you open the door of Sweet Cooie’s you are immediately hit with the amazing smell of handmade waffle cones. The intricately detailed teal walls surround the unique blue bar behind the ice cream counter. Toward the back are round blue vintage booths with star lights along the walls. All of the shelves are lined with jars of candies, gum-balls, and other sweet treats. When you walk into Sweet Cooie’s, you walk into a whole other world. (A world that worked perfectly for this Denver engagement)!

The stars of the show, Nick and Rachel, were so fun to work with and didn’t mind me running around looking for new angles to shoot from, or unique ways to capture them. One example of this being, allowing me to open all of the windows (on a bitter Denver afternoon) and shoot through the windows into the shop, allowing for better light and more variety. They also happily went behind the ice cream counter in between customers coming in for some fun shots.
