Fremont Foundry, located in the heart of Seattleās Fremont neighborhood, is a historic industrial venue that offers a rooftop ceremony space with sweeping city views, a beautiful indoor reception space, and plenty of room for the celebration to naturally transition from one part of the day to the next. For Merilee and Rami, their Fremont Foundry wedding was full of the people and details that mattered most to them.
One of the biggest perks of the Fremont Foundry as a wedding venue is the ability to host so much of the wedding day in one location. From getting ready and the ceremony to dinner, dancing, and the reception, everything can happen under one roof. The venue’s industrial character also provides a beautiful backdrop that can be transformed to fit a couple’s personal style.
Family was at the heart of Merilee and Rami’s wedding day. Including Rami’s family who traveled to Seattle to celebrate with them. Merilee also carried something especially meaningful with her throughout the day. Her mom gave her a piece of gold to wear. This added a sentimental detail that connected her to her family as she stepped into this new chapter.
The couple exchanged vows on the Fremont Foundry rooftop, with Seattle stretching out behind them. It was an incredible setting for their ceremony and gave their guests a chance to take in the city while celebrating the couple.
After the ceremony, everyone headed downstairs for the reception. The Foundry’s soaring ceilings, exposed industrial details, and open layout created the perfect canvas for a celebration filled with bold color. Their reception design felt playful and vibrant, with colors that echoed the creative energy of the surrounding Fremont neighborhood. Then, naturally, it was time to dance.
One of the things I love about photographing a Fremont Foundry wedding is how easily the space transforms throughout the day. A rooftop ceremony can give way to dinner, drinks, and a packed dance floor without ever requiring guests to leave the venue.
For couples looking for a Seattle wedding venue that combines convenience, personality, and an unmistakably Seattle atmosphere, the Fremont Foundry is a wonderful option.
Merilee and Rami’s day was ultimately about what a wedding should be about: bringing together the people they love, creating meaningful moments with their families, and celebrating the beginning of their marriage with one very good party.
And they were truly the sweetest couple to photograph. If you’re planning a Fremont Foundry wedding and would like an experienced photography, let’s chat!
