Woodinville, Washington is a beautiful city located to the east of Seattle and houses multiple wineries that double as wedding venues including Novelty Hill – Januik Winery, Chateau Lill, Sparkman Cellars, Chateau Ste. Michelle Winery, The Winemakers Reserve, Willows Lodge, and JM Cellars, where this wedding took place. As a Woodinville wedding photographer, I have seen many of these wineries, but JM Cellars remains my favorite. With its secluded private feel, lush greenery, ample outdoor space, and twinkle lights, it is a dream to photograph.
Biana & Riley resonated with this Woodinville wedding venue as well, and had an elegant black tie wedding here over the summer. When we first arrived, the guys were slowly getting ready while also playing pool and taking full advantage of the front outdoor space with Adirondack chairs and ample shade. The girls were getting ready in the back room of the loft, occasionally accompanied by Biana & Riley’s dog that made the rounds between both groups.
After getting ready, we photographed their first look and portraits, even a few with their dog! We lucked out with the best even light at the back of their ceremony space which was lined with tall trees, ferns, and vines. Soon after, it was time for the ceremony. The wooden chairs filled with guests, and the beautiful wedding arch was adored with greenery, florals, and four hanging chandeliers in the middle. Their family friend officiated their wedding starting with the story of how they met, and ending with words of wisdom. As Biana & Riley walked back down the aisle, the guests cheered and celebrated.
My favorite part of the evening was cocktail hour and the reception, where candles were lit and began glowing under the twinkle lights strung over the reception space outside. With tall light blue candles, white vases with white and pink roses, and greenery wrapping its way down the tables, the tablescape was expertly designed by Seattle wedding planner, A. Renee weddings. By the glow of these candles, guests sat down and began mingling before toasts and dinner finished the evening, and this Woodinville wedding photographer packed up her things, eager to edit all the luxurious images from the day!
