Tushara and Michael’s Bell Harbor Conference Center wedding was a beautiful mix of color, culture, family, and nonstop celebration. Their day brought together meaningful traditions from both sides, a historic Seattle ceremony, rooftop portraits, and a reception filled with dance performances, sunset-inspired details, and the best kind of packed dance floor.
The morning began with getting ready before heading to Immaculate Conception Church in Seattle for the ceremony. Before the ceremony, Tushara had a prayer and Indian blessing, creating a quiet and meaningful start to the day. It was such a special way to honor her heritage before joining Michael at the altar.
After the ceremony, everyone loaded onto a party bus and headed into downtown Seattle for wedding party and couple portraits on a rooftop. The city views were the perfect backdrop before the celebration continued at Bell Harbor.
Located on the Seattle waterfront, Bell Harbor Conference Center is the perfect location for a downtown wedding that can accommodate a large amount of guests, and give variety in the spaces both inside and outside. We rejoined the guests for the tail end of cocktail hour on the rooftop overlooking Elliott Bay.
The night continued as we walked down the stairs from cocktail hour to the reception revealed a design inspired by sunset tones. Deep oranges, reds, and warm floral colors showed up throughout the florals, signage, decoration, and even through the saris worn by guests. The whole room felt vibrant, joyful, and full of life.
After dinner, Tushara and Michael changed into Indian formalwear, and we stepped outside for portraits on the rooftop at Bell Harbor. With blue hour starting to set in, and a slow glow starting to emerge from the buildings next door, the light was perfect to get some romantic shots of them.
The reception continued with some unforgettable performances. Michael and his groomsmen performed, followed by Tushara and her bridesmaids. One of the funniest and most memorable moments was the bridesmaids’ dance to “Hey Now” by Hilary Duff, complete with headset microphones.
Michael’s sister also taught guests an Armenian dance during the reception, bringing another cultural element into the celebration. By the end of the night, everyone was on the dance floor as American pop songs mixed with Bollywood beats.
