Santa Rosa Beach Wedding – Destination Wedding Photographer

I love when a wedding takes me outside of Colorado. Whether it be sandy shores, rocky cliffs, or an arid desert, as a traveling wedding photographer, I love going new places and seeing new things. This wedding took me to Santa Rosa Beach, Florida. With beautiful white sand beaches, vibrant blue skies and an array of palm trees, Santa Rosa Beach was an amazing spot for a destination wedding.

Aaron and Lyndsey tied the knot surrounded by family from all over the globe joining together to celebrate and party by their side. The two got ready with their respective bridesmaids and groomsmen in beautifully decorated beach condos and then headed to their first look just down the street. After an adorable first look full of tears, we traveled around town to get couples portraits.

My favorite part of the day was being able to create portraits in a whole new setting. As a Colorado native, I am used to mountains, cabins, rocks, waterfalls and pine trees. In Florida, I had white buildings, palm trees, sand and an ocean to work with. One of the many things I love about traveling is being able to create and be inspired by new surroundings.

The day continued with wedding party photos on the beach, family photos at a nearby park, and a ceremony and reception at Celebration Hall. The couple danced the night away and exited with a sparkler exit. Guests lined the path with sparklers in hand to say goodbye to the newly married couple, sending them onto their honeymoon.

The whole day was incredible. I was constantly inspired by the beautiful surroundings and loved the opportunity to create in such an amazing place. Santa Rosa Beach is an amazing place for a destination wedding. Before I left I was already booking tickets to come back – it’s that beautiful! If you’ve never been, get on it!
