Moss is a newer venue to the Denver wedding venue line up, but one of my absolute favorites. This urban wedding venue lets in ample light with their factory style windows and plays up the industrial vibe with polished cement floors and exposed rafters. The Moss Denver website describes the venue as both “urban and warm” which I couldn’t agree with more. While there are industrial elements, there is also a sense of homeyness that can be felt while in the space. This Moss Denver wedding between Lauren and Matt exemplified both descriptors.
This Moss Denver wedding took place in late April with cloudy skies and scattered storms. We began our coverage at Moss Denver with portraits of both Lauren and Matt separately and then their first look and portraits. The two wanted lots of portraits in front of the famous moss wall and wanted to finish their portraits before the ceremony, so they could spend time with their guests during cocktail hour and the reception.
I loved witnessing their first look. Both Matt and Lauren were so nervous and eager to see each other and seeing the smile on their faces when Matt turned around to face his bride was priceless.
After portraits, the couple tucked away into the bridal suite to allow the guests to finish arriving and get settled. The intimate ceremony was officiated by two of their friends and focused on how they met and what made their love special. They incorporated their love for wines with a wine box to be opened on their 5th anniversary and a final toast before being pronounced husband and wife.
The guests then moved into the ballroom for cocktail hour while the ceremony space was converted into a dining hall. Their modern and elegant table decorations were some of the best I have ever seen. I loved how they were simple but classic and incorporated natural elements like the eucalyptus garland and the gold geometric metal shapes.
Perhaps my favorite photo was taken during Matt and Lauren’s first dance after dinner. I loved witnessing their beautiful and romantic day and seeing how much love they shared through how they looked at each other.
